[Recovery] Faster and more rigid file recovery
I wish the program can recover files faster and more thouroughly because I use this program alot when recovering 650mb mpeg files from VCD's. And yes if possible, multithreaded support so that the program will have more CPU power therefor making the program function even faster. And of course making file recovery much faster.

As far as I understend, It is not very feasible to speed up a recovery. You just have to keep trying to read the same portion of the CD over and over again. Multithreading the application will only make the GUI more responsive, but the speed will still be limited by the CDROM. You just cannot add a lot of threads and hope for an amaizing performance increase. In fact you just divide the CPU time between some parts of you application. It all depends on the nature of the Application. If this was a webserver...

Yes, this is correct. Application is already multithreaded. However recovery does not benefit from it. Multiple accesses to optical drive in multiple threads does not improve speed but rather slows the process. CPU power is not the question. It is the "speed" of the drive and the algorithm.

Indeed, i found that the recovery process is extremely slow. Now I am trying to recover a rmvb file from a damaged disc which has some air inside the disc. I haved performed the task more than one day, the process is still stick on 70%
